I pulled my UFO #7 out and put the borders on it tonight. A small red border, 2" and the navy blue outer border that I cut at 4 1/2". The quilt is now ready to be quilted. This is a small (48" square) signature quilt from September 2003. It will be fun to have it finished. Some of the ladies that signed this quilt are no longer in my sewing group and 1 of these sweet ladies is now deceased. This was a block exchange and I think I've only seen one of these finished. It will be fun to show this to my group...I pulled fabric out of my stash for the backing and the borders. How about that? So far, for my UFO's, I have not spent any money. I pulled the backing and even the batting for both of these UFO's from stash. So far so good, huh? Here's a picture of My Sewing Friends. Ok, I know the title is not real original. I might have to work on that. I'll be thinking about that one. I'm going to be pinning this tomorrow and starting to quilt by this weekend. Maybe I can get this one finished quickly. I'm excited!
Here's some pictures of my design wall thingy. You remember, I told you my husband made me a portable design wall...I did have to buy batting for this because I did not have the right kind of batting for it. I now have this pinned and will be taking this apart so I can sew down the batting. This one is 5' X 5'. A good size for a design wall. He made me a small one but I haven't covered that one yet. It is 2' X 2'. I like both of them and they will come in pretty handy.

Lovely to have those memories in the quilt. Will you machine or hand quilt it?
