Weekend at Greenbriar Retreat

I left Friday morning and drove down to Eustace, Tx. to a quilter's paradise...it is called Greenbriar Retreat but should be called Heaven. Judy Groom is the owner/hostess and she does a brilliant job. The retreat is in the boonies and it is so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The accomodations were first class and the food was WONDERFUL! This woman can cook!!! Of course, I can't leave her young apprentice out either. Chelsea was wonderful too. She made all the scrumptious desserts and cleaned up after us...what a prize! I wanted to take her home with me. We ate very healthy food and then topped it all off with over the top desserts. Judy said she took all the calories out of the desserts but somehow, I don't think that was right! We were definitely happy campers! There were beautiful quilts on every bed to ooh and ahh over plus quilts on the walls too. Judy has a beautiful place and I and my other retreaters had a wonderful time visiting this lovely place. We all got alot done but not as much as we wanted or planned to get done. Of course, I took pictures and I'll share those with you later. Gotta go for now, will post my pics tonight or tomorrow.
