I went to tatting last night and had a great time. I'm still tatting on my flag and I have one red stripe done. I'll be starting a white stripe later tonight. This will be a slow tat but well worth the efforts. I'll show more of this at a later time and I'll not bore you with each step. There are several of us making flags now. It's kind of like a virus, some of us have caught the bug. We discussed the state fair again this year and everyone has been asked to do a piece for it. I'm not sure what I'll be doing for it or if I'll do the fair this year. I've got to decide soon and start on something. The deadline is fast approaching. I'm thinking about a small doily, but I'm not sure yet. I'll let you know what I decide.
We had a demonstration last night at tatting. We pretty much stick to tatting but each month on the 2nd Tuesday we have a demonstration or class on either a new technique or other craft. Mary Jo couldn't do the demo last week so she postponed it to this week. Our demo last night was on Bobbin Lace. This is beautiful lacemaking but is definitely not my cup of tea. OMG, I have trouble with two needles, I can't imagine trying to manipulate 20 or more! So, I watched her demo for a while but went back to tatting on my flag. I decided this was just too much for me. I have too many things going now. Quilting, tatting, knitting, crocheting, etc. I just don't have anymore time to devote to another craft. I'll leave this one to those that are more coordinated. Til next time....
