I didn't get into my PJ's (like some people), but I did do some Friday night sewing with friends. I went over to the church and met some friends. Each of us brought food to share and our latest sewing project. Some of us even brought knitting that we needed help on....I took my Boo quilt to work on. I had cut this one out on Wednesday night and was hoping I could get alot done on it while I was there. I did get all of my pumpkins sewn together and I got my B done but that was as far as I got. I got some help on my knitting too, so I'll be able to start working again on the sweater that I was working on last year. I had lost my place and Marileah helped me work out where I was on this! That's what happens when you lay a project down and don't pick it back up for awhile...My marker had torn off and I was lost! I'll show you my sweater later when I get the back finished.
Anyway, I got up today and thought I would check some email to see if my winners had answered me. Yes, they had, so I'll be able to get their prizes in the mail to them Monday or Tuesday...
I also won a Schlep bag (I have this pattern and wanted to make one!) from Pauline aka Quilt n Queen! I love it! I have a gift for me and I don't have to make it! Now, that's special! Pauline had two drawings. Her original drawing was for a Halloween Schlep bag and it was so cute. She said if she got 100 followers she would have an additional drawing. Well, she made her goal and made good on her 2nd drawing too. This schlep bag is a Christmas bag and it is beautiful. I can't wait to get it. My bag friends will be so jealous! Thank you, Pauline... I'm going to have fun with this one.
Well, how about that? After finding out about that, I just couldn't settle down to sew. I stayed on the computer for a few hours this morning roaming around blogs looking to see who all won in the giveaways. This has been really time consuming but has been so much fun too. I have found so many creative blogs out there to go back and check on. I'm so glad Debi organized this and I'll do it again next year if she hosts it again....
I finally pulled myself away from the computer and very guiltily headed to the sewing room. (I say guiltily because I should have been cleaning my house today too but I don't have time to do everything, huh!?) I'll have to be really sweet to my hubby when he comes in. I'll have to hurry up and do some housework today too...Anyway, I digress, I finally made it to the sewing room and spent some time putting together my Boo quilt. It has turned out so cute and I can't wait to quilt it. Here it is without the eyes. I'll be using buttons for the eyes so I can't put them on until after I quilt it. I saw the Boo quilt in this magazine:
and thought it was so cute. I ordered the kit right then. It was very reasonable and I couldn't run around and look for the fabric for the price of the kit...I got the kit very quickly too from Flower Box Quilts. Great service, good prices and generous amounts of fabric in their kits. Can't ask for more than that, huh?
Ok, you've waited long enough, here's Boo (Blind Boo for now but they won't be blind for long, I plan on quilting this asap.)
Isn't this cute? I just love the border fabric...I don't have enough for the backing but if I put some other fabric with it and piece around it, I will have enough so that's what I plan on doing. I had fun with this quilt and I've even started thinking about dressing up some of my bears when I hang this on the wall. I've got to figure out how I can make a bear costume pretty quickly now. I'll leave you thinking about this, happy sewing!

What a luckly girl you've been, congratulations.
Congratulations - lucky girl! Wonderful prices and a cute Boo-Quilt!
Two wins...congratulations on the other win.....a Bliss jellyroll WOW you are a lucky one. I love the Bliss line...in fact I bought a FQ bundle just last week.
I'll have your schlep bag in the mail tomorrow morning.....2-3 days and you should have it. When I make the schlep bags I change the pattern quite a bit. My version is quilted. The original pattern called for 8" squares which makes a very large bag. I used 6 1/2" squares for your bag or using 7" squares makes a nice size bag too.
Love your BOO quilt....too cute!
This Fall-into-Fall giveaway has been very time consuming but I'm so glad I did it. As a new blogger it has been a great learning experience and has been so much fun too.
I made it official and am now a follower of your blog and have you listed on my side bar.
Aren't you a lucky one! Contrats on the win. I think your Boo quilt is so cute - I look forward to seeing it when it is finished.
Boo is adorable and very scary, but mostly adorable.
