Well, I finally finished all 40 of my nine patches for the month. When I first started this swap, , I liked nine patches, now I'm really bored with them...I just keep telling myself, the quilt will be great, the quilt will be great. I guess the biggest thing is I shouldn't wait until the last minute to do them and if I spread them out over the month, it wouldn't be so bad...I'll start doing that. Anyway, I finished those and I did my five Civil War blocks for my exchange too. Both are due this Thursday at my small group. Here's a pic...
I've been watching the Olympics and I've enjoyed everything about them this year. I think they were great and I think Great Britain did a wonderful job hosting it. I'm off now to finish watching the closing ceremonies, til next time, happy sewing.

The civil war blocks are lovely. I know what you mean about having to do a lot of one unit in such a start amount of time...but they are adorable...and YES! The quilt will be fabulous! Way to push through.
Start = short. Missed that autocorrect. I'll get a hang of this iPad sooner or later.
You might be fed up of them, but the nine patches are adorable, and yes, it will be a beautiful quilt
Hello!
I love doing exchanges but have the same problem.
I was doing my flying geese yesterday to exchange today.
I get bored with any block pretty quickly. Agree with you on the Olympics - great.

I think that's one reason I do so many scrappy quilts - easily tired of one block! If I do the scrap squares as leader-enders, then it doesn't seem like work, sandwiched in with other things.
