A little lovey for my niece and her new baby.

My niece is in Italy and is having her first child.  Her sisters and the rest of her family are over here.  A few weeks ago, one of the sisters was looking on Facebook and saw something and made the comment that her new little nephew would love this.  Well, I chimed in and said it wouldn't be hard to make and that I would do one for her...so I did.  I finished making this last night. The basic directions came from Sarah over at RepeatCrafterme...here's a link to the directions on how to make this little lovey. Sarah made a little monster but  since I couldn't find monster fabric, I thought I would make it a little friendlier....This was fun to make and easy too.  Sarah's directions are great...
I haven't crocheted in a long time, at least a year or more. This was a fun project to brush up on my crochet skills.  I even learned how to do something new with this little pattern.  I used to make ring the old way, I now know how to make rings called Magic Rings.  I never knew this before but thanks to Youtube and all the great videos out there, I was able to add a new trick to my crochet skills.  I'm going to have to do more crochet now that I've pulled my hooks out!  Til next time, happy stitching, whichever form it is!
