My 100th Post Giveaway

Ok, with my last posting and the little tutorial I did...that was my 100th posting! I never thought that would happen. I am not a writer and I was never very good at keeping a diary so I'm as surprised as you are. Anyway, I have decided to celebrate my 100th post with a giveaway. I have not as yet decided what I will do but it is going to be a surprise. I will post a picture when I have fully decided. I will be giving 3 surprises. Please leave me a comment and I will have a drawing next Saturday which will be Sept. 6th. You can comment until Saturday, Sept 6th @ 12:00 Central Time (Texas time). Please leave a comment and tell me what your favorite gadget is and why it is your favorite. I will draw Saturday night around 6 o'clock and let you know who the winner is. Until then, keep on quilting! Hugs, Linda

You really have a nice site! I'm going to come back and check out the tutorials. I'm not much of a quilter, but I do sew. Do I have to pick a favorite gadget, LOL? Well, I guess lately it's these little clippers. They're sort of spring-loaded with really short blades and very sharp--great for cutting off thread tails!
Congratulations on 100 posts!

Hello,

congratulations for your 100. post.

You want to know my favourite gadget:

after I have thought about it: my new Jaws. This wonderful purple clipps, which you can roll on the quilt while quilting in the machine.

Yours,

Marion

Congratulations on 100 posts. I guess that my favorite gadgets are my rulers and rotary cutters. Oldies but goodies.

Congratulations on reaching 100 posts. Favourite gadget - my little bamboo pokey thing, great for marking lines on fabric for straight line quilting, great for finger pressing seams and of course for poking corners out when they've been turned through. And it cost me just over £1.

Congratulations! I too am not a writer and have always been bad at keeping up diaries or journals. I have always loved to share my crafty project pictures though, and this medium works perfectly. My favoriet gadget would be my rotary cutters. I rarely use scissors anymore, even for my garment sewing.

It sure didn't take all that long for so many of us to hit 100, huh? Seems we all are turning 100 just a few days from each other :0)

There are two (okay three) gadgets that make quilting SO MUCH easier-----first hand, one that many of us don't even think about because it's become a "norm" of quilters----the ROTARY CUTTER! Then, following that would be the two specialty rulers that Bonnie has us using in many of her patterns: EASY ANGLE and COMPANION. Now that much of my fabric is in strips, these rulers make life so easy!

Thank you for offering us a giveaway for your 100th! What a lovely tradition that has been started somehow, someway :0)

I must admit I absolutely love my rotary cutter. I even use it to cut out patterns! Sometimes with a ruler and sometimes freehand. Since the first quilt I made I used scissors, you can understand my love affairs with rotary cutters! Congratulations on your 100th blog!

My favorite gadget - is it a gadget?- is my huge, 30inch paper cutter. It has a super sharp blade and cuts through almost anything. tinawittmer(at)yahoo(dot)com
