Texas Weather
Yikes, Hurricane Ike is getting really scary! The weather doesn't look good..get your flashlights, batteries, water, and other necessities together and batten down the hatches. The winds are supposed to be really strong even up in our area. (Dallas) Put all your plants and loose items up...I don't want to see any cows floating around in the wind. Take care and be safe out there. Watch for flood water and be smart about driving in it. til next time.

Have been thinking of you all, keep safe
I hope that you are safe and sound. I know that many are without electric, but if you are, when you are back online just know that prayers are going out for you.
Thanks so much for thinking of me and all of us here in Texas. All is well for me...We didn't get as much wind or rain as expected where I am. My husband and I moved everything off the porches into the garage but it was not necessary. I am so glad as I was here by myself when all the rain hit and I am scared of storms. It wasn't bad at all for us. Unfortunately, alot of people in Galveston and Houston were not as fortunate and my heart and prayers go out to them. Hugs, Linda
