A wonderful book giveaway: The Giving Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini

Plume books contacted me recently about reviewing "The Giving Quilt". I was thrilled! I love Jennifer Chiaverini. This book has been out in hardback but it came out yesterday in paperback. They sent me some books and some really cute pins to give to two of my readers.

Jennifer Chiaverini really knows how to tell a story. She is so tuned into the quilter and the quilt community. She just draws you in and you feel like you are there.   I could so relate to so many of the characters in this book. It takes place at Elm Creek Manor and it's the week after Thanksgiving. It's about making quilts for Project Linus and what it means for the quilters to be there and to give of themselves. It's a very touching book and the characters really come to life in this wonderful book.
I'm so glad that she wrote this book to help out Project Linus and inspire quilters everywhere to give from the heart all year long.

Here's a little bit from the publisher:

"Thanksgiving inspires generosity once a year, but what happens to the spirit of giving on the other 364 days? In THE GIVING QUILT, now available in paperback from Plume, New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Chiaverini takes a page from her own life to deliver an emotional and poignant story very close to her heart. As a long-time member and advocate of Project Linus, an organization dedicated to providing handmade quilts and blankets to children in need, Jennifer decided to donate a very unique and special gift—a prime spot in one of her bestselling novels.
At Elm Creek Manor, the circle of quilters is hard at work preparing for “Quiltsgiving.” Held annually the week after Thanksgiving, expert and novice quilters from near and far gather for a special winter session of quilt camp to make pieces for Project Linus. As the week unfolds, the quilters respond to the question, “Why do you give?” in ways as varied as the life experiences that drew them to Elm Creek Manor. Each of the quilters, including a librarian, a teacher, a college student, and a quilt shop clerk, uses her unique talents to teach, inspire, and give back to her fellow campers.
With numerous New York Times bestsellers, Chiaverini is undoubtedly one of the masters of both modern and historical women’s fiction. Year after year, Chiaverini’s stories remain beloved by fans and praised by critics."

Now, here's how to enter the giveaway:

Hi, Linda!
I have read all of her books, except for one, I think, and would love to read this one. So far, I think my favorite would either be the Aloha Quilt, or Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker. It's so hard to pick, though. Have loved them all. Thanks for the chance to win.. I'm a faithful follower. ;)

I've read almost all of Jennifer's books. My favorite is The Quilter's Apprentice - this is the book that started the fantastic reading experience.

I think my favorite one was The Union Quilters. I so enjoyed reading about that era. Actually, I think I listened to it on DVD going back and forth to Nashville! I'm on the waiting list at the library for Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker.

I really don't have a favorite and I am terrible about remembering the names of books - I have read the first 6 or 7 she wrote - but it has been a while - I'd love to get more of her books to read - there are so many books to choose from and so limited budget
